The Big Sky Spectaculaire starts and finishes in Bozeman, located in southwest Montana. It is a 916 +/- mile single stage, self-supported competitive adventure bicycle ride around Southwest and Central Montana. The route is primarily asphalt with approximately 331 miles of gravel over 16 segments. Parts of the route are the Adventure Cycling Association (ACA) TransAm and Lewis and Clark Bike Routes. The route crosses the Continental Divide twice, at Gibbons Pass (elev. 6941) and Rogers Pass (elev. 5610). Between these passes and throughout the route are numerous scenic valleys and other passes in SW MT. The route also ventures into Montana's agricultural (wheat and barley) heartland, the Golden Triangle.
