The Big Sky Spectaculaire starts and finishes in Bozeman, located in southwest Montana. It is a single stage, self-supported competitive adventure bicycle ride around Southwest and Central Montana. The 2023 edition is 910+/- miles in length on mixed surfaces with approximately 400 miles being gravel and 2-track. Parts of the route are the Adventure Cycling Association (ACA) TransAm and Lewis and Clark Bike Routes, as well as the newly developed Bitterroot Connector route by Bikepacking Roots. The route crosses the Continental Divide twice, at Gibbons Pass (elev. 6941) and Rogers Pass (elev. 5610). Between these passes and throughout the route are numerous scenic valleys and other passes in SW MT. The route also ventures into Montana's agricultural (wheat and barley) heartland, the Golden Triangle.
